When I purchased my first camera, no subject was safe: our family dog, home life, and myself through mirror selfies. So when I landed a job as a Sports Photographer, I was excited to know that this hobby could become my career. A few months later, I was hired as a product photographer and content creator at The Evoke Agency, where I shot product and lifestyle content for leading brands in the salon industry such as Wella Professionals.

I was encouraged to experiment with new techniques and learned a lot about composition and lighting. It's also when I first learned stop motion. When I moved to Portland, a new challenge presented itself at Heart Creative Agency: photographing food. Food photography meant working against the clock — melting, wilting, changing the moment it left the kitchen — so I learned to be quick and confident in my choices to get the shot before it was gone. At Heart, I was again encouraged to experiment and continuously pitch new ideas to the team.

Wherever my career takes me, the skills I've built behind the camera are coming with me.
